Upcoming Anniversary Event

Sorry for the lack of updates. I was trying to save 98,000 gold for an Alruna's Rose at Gaiaonline. I really wanted a succubus for my avatar. I've worked Kaine hard enough to sell a couple of thousand golds from my inventory and his for the same purpose too. Sadly, I'm still not even half way of it.

Anyway, going to the main highlight of the story, it's finally November! At the 15th day of this month, I will be celebrating Beyond Eternal's 5th anniversary! And while at it, I'll throw a bit of an event this year.

I thought of having a layout making contest for this event. The theme would be "beyond eternal." I was actually thinking of a good theme for this event while drinking tea this morning. And I ended up with this idea since it is Beyond Eternal's anniversary anyway. Unlike the typical themes of winter, spring, summer, fall, Christmas, Halloween, and so on, I think, "beyond eternal" would give people vast concepts to choose from. There would be hundreds of things people could think of with the mere thought of it.

Now for my requirements, the site has to be well structured/organized as well as X/HTML and CSS validated. This would also serve as my own way of campaigning for the web standards. Yes, I will be viewing the source codes. I will not be requiring people to submit the files to me in zip. It could be uploaded to their own websites too. I simple wanted to see clean codes.

For the prices, I would give 1 year domain and hosting for the first prize, a year hosting only for the second prize, and a domain only for the third prize. All of these will be hosted and registered at the same sites where my own sites are hosted. Sites will be hosted at Shinigamiweb.com and domain will be registered at d0m41n.name. I will pay all the expenses for 1 year only.

Submission of entries will begin at November 15th 2008, 12:00am and will end at November 30th 2008, 12:00am. I will be the judge of course. Winners will be announced a week after, on December 6th 2008 at no specific time.

I will post more details about this in the coming days. I posted this ahead so people who are interested might start thinking of a good concept as soon as they read this.

Good luck to everyone who will be joining.

Philippine Web Awards 2008

Oh? The voting for The Philippine Web Awards 2008 Blogger's Choice Award is now open and they came up with this cool idea for voting. This time, voters would need a little more effort to vote. Hah.

Well, for those who were curious to know, I didn't join this year. The hype of THE Philippine Blog Awards just didn't get to me. For some reason, I don't really find it as interesting as last year (because it was new back then, so I was interested to try it out). I'm never the type who desire attention anyway and the fact that I blog for the same of blogging still stands.

Anyway, in last year's Blogger Choice Award, it was a tough choice for me. But this time, I would vote for Mike Villar all the way (now Mikey, don't forget my hug after this). Since it's sort of like a mandatory to state the reason why I am voting for Mikey, I'll be straight and honest about it with a few words added.

Save the blogging world from "pro"bloggers! VOTE MIKEY!

Here's is my main reason for voting for Mikey, and I'm actually being serious for once:

Well, I've been a blogger for quite a while. And as far as blogging goes, probloggers are dominating the blogging world, as we know. I don't know if it's just me or anything but I really wanted Mikey to win this one since he's one of those people who blog just for the heck of blogging. You know what I mean. For me, blogging is a form of self expression and as I did back when I first started blogging some years ago, I still think that blogging should be for the purpose of self-satisfaction, self-expression and enjoyment; that people should blog about themselves, about the things they like, sharing things for the world to know, etc. and not just for the sake of earning money.

So, this also sort of like my campaign for the blogging community too.

Here are my top 5 additional reasons for voting Mikey:

  1. I love his pimped up logo in his site. Yes, including that star.
  2. The way he blogs never fails to amaze me - creativity-wise and nonsensical-wise.
  3. His blog entries make me feel like I'm a better person sometimes. Seriously. And by that, it makes me wanna go through this life right.
  4. He craves attention so much, so he really needs more votes.
  5. And last but not the least and the most important too...

His ever so interesting campaign image.

That's it, so vote for Mikey, okay? O(^o^)O

The Mandatory List of Sponsors:

I wonder if my vote will count, now? =P

Link Loves to those COOL PEOPLE who voted Mikey
(if you voted for him, and is not on the list, leave me a comment)

ToyCon '08

Yes, yes. Me was at the ToyCon '08, but me wasn't cosplaying. Me arrived late too. Because cool people always arrive late. Along the isle near the Mobius booth, me was standing in awe. While on the process, me got lucky and get to meet the Dan Hellbound (me wonders, what happened to his site) there but me forgot to ask for an autograph. =P

Here's a few eye candy for you guys. =3

Oh, and oh and oh. Here's the highlight of the post: Hard Gay hits Hard with Biatch! Free wallpaper for the Dev Team!

Friendly Advice:
Be careful of ToyCons, you'll never know what hit you. :D

PS:
This post is payback to Biatch for taking Gackt's name from me as a character name in GONG!

Earth Day Jam 2008

No. I'm not going to the Earth Day Jam 2008 on the 25th. And even if the admission is free, who the hell cares? I can pay for my entrance fee. I'm not that poor. And even if the lineup is pretty good, I still will not go.

I do not want to support ART STEALERS or people who uses other people's works without the artist's permission. And it this case, it's way too much since you can find the poster which uses the stolen image all over the place. And at worst case, the image has been bastardized too.

Therefore, as a sign of MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT over these people, especially the one who made that poster, I urge other people not to go to the said gig.

I'm cross-posting this, everywhere.

Last New Year's Eve

Last new year's eve, as I went around blog hopping. As I read George's Looking Back: 2007, Part 1 post, I stared to think back of my own and wanted to blog about it. But as I think back, I couldn't think of anything. It makes me think that nothing significant ever happened to me the past year. And that it's like just another year passing for me.

With this thought, it makes me feel frightened of what would happen to me in the following years. Will I find that something I really wanted to do or I would end up just like most of the people who live their life ordinarily?
