Lunar New Year 2009

I wasn't able to greet every one last year because I was looking for a job, but this time I'll greet everyone 新年快樂!

Here's my little gift!

lunar2k9

This year, it's the year of the Earth Ox. Ox is a star under Xuan Wu (tortoise). If you're familiar with the manga/anime Fushigi Yuugi, then the word "Genbu" might've sounded familiar, ne? And the one who was born under the star of Ox was Inami. I love it when manga/anime are actually based on actual mythology. I brought it up so it would stimulate your curiosity and you also might've read the manga too. X3

Anyway, here's something about Oxes that I've copy and pasted from here:

Those born under the influence of the Ox are fortunate to be stable and persevering. The typical Ox is a tolerant person with strong character. Not many people could equal the resolution and fearlessness the Ox exhibits when deciding to accomplish a task or an objective. As we used this great creature long ago to plow the soil day after day, so do Ox people labor through their daily responsibilities either at work or at home without complaint or gripe. Oxen know they will succeed through hard work and sustained effort and find no truth or benefit in concocting get-rich-quick schemes.

I'm actually born under this animal. And my element is wood. According to that site, I'm a pathetic loser who doesn't even match it's descriptions even one bit. Even the likes and dislikes. I do like violet that much. I prefer black, red, blue and silver and other boring colors like brown and gray. I also like monotonous colors. I do not want to receive gardening stuffs and planting books as a gift. Geez. Bonsai are fine though. My hobbies and pastimes does not include body-building. I can't even pick a dumbell up, seriously. And so on... To conlude eveything, do not believe that site! (>o<)#

Anyway, I wish everyone a happy lunar new year!

Happy Holidays 2008

Here's for everyone~

If I caught you online 5 minutes after I made that, then you might have already received that from me.

Beyond Eternal 5th Anniversary

Now that I remember it, I told Ade earlier that I would post something about celebrity bloggers today (err... yesterday afternoon, to be exact). But then again, I'm skipping the topic. I don't wanna write it anymore. They're just not worth blogging about and it will just came out as a rant.

On to the main topic of today's post!

I know it's 4 days late. I was busy with something else (like looking for that certain extra hot lingere I downloaded a year ago for my Sims 2 character that I've spent all day searching the other day; and a few gay stalking and such) and is partly lazy to make a giffy for everyone too. Anyway, here's your giffy guys and yey for Beyond Eternal's 5th year!

(Click and take!)

No, I wont post a list of people I knew from my day one of blogging. I already did that last year. And for my posts before that, they dont have anything interesting in them. XD

Following up my Anniversary Event, I'll be moving it to next month. Because I've got a lot on my hands right now and I can't possibly deal with it. I'll keep you guys posted about it.

Now, start giving me love!

Upcoming Anniversary Event

Sorry for the lack of updates. I was trying to save 98,000 gold for an Alruna's Rose at Gaiaonline. I really wanted a succubus for my avatar. I've worked Kaine hard enough to sell a couple of thousand golds from my inventory and his for the same purpose too. Sadly, I'm still not even half way of it.

Anyway, going to the main highlight of the story, it's finally November! At the 15th day of this month, I will be celebrating Beyond Eternal's 5th anniversary! And while at it, I'll throw a bit of an event this year.

I thought of having a layout making contest for this event. The theme would be "beyond eternal." I was actually thinking of a good theme for this event while drinking tea this morning. And I ended up with this idea since it is Beyond Eternal's anniversary anyway. Unlike the typical themes of winter, spring, summer, fall, Christmas, Halloween, and so on, I think, "beyond eternal" would give people vast concepts to choose from. There would be hundreds of things people could think of with the mere thought of it.

Now for my requirements, the site has to be well structured/organized as well as X/HTML and CSS validated. This would also serve as my own way of campaigning for the web standards. Yes, I will be viewing the source codes. I will not be requiring people to submit the files to me in zip. It could be uploaded to their own websites too. I simple wanted to see clean codes.

For the prices, I would give 1 year domain and hosting for the first prize, a year hosting only for the second prize, and a domain only for the third prize. All of these will be hosted and registered at the same sites where my own sites are hosted. Sites will be hosted at Shinigamiweb.com and domain will be registered at d0m41n.name. I will pay all the expenses for 1 year only.

Submission of entries will begin at November 15th 2008, 12:00am and will end at November 30th 2008, 12:00am. I will be the judge of course. Winners will be announced a week after, on December 6th 2008 at no specific time.

I will post more details about this in the coming days. I posted this ahead so people who are interested might start thinking of a good concept as soon as they read this.

Good luck to everyone who will be joining.

Halloween 2008

Happy Halloween! \(^o^)/

This is my early Halloween 2008 gift for all of you and free for the taking!

Like always, just click the image to get it.

Halloween 2008

Since I'm nice this Halloween (because I got a Vampire Bat Swarm from GaiaOnline), for those who would love their name in the gift (and probably a short message as well), just leave me a comment and I'll make it for you~

New Favicons

Just in case you haven't noticed, I made a new favicon for my domain, Beyond Eternal. To be honest, I'm getting tired of using my face as a favicon too.

It all started with the idea of making a favicon for the official website/fansite of L†L: Louie and Louise. And I ended up with making a rather more general themed favicon and since it looks nice, I started wanting it for Beyond Eternal rather than just for the L†L site's use. Then after, I thought of a good idea for a favicon for L†L.

Here's how the favicons look, zoomed in at 800%:

They looked 100x way better when small, since they're supposed to viewed small - in16x16 pixels, to be exact. ^^;

Anyway, I'm pretty happy at how it turned out, all thanks to the PEPgenious10 pixel font by PEPLUM where I got the skull pixel from. I was trying to draw the skull figure but got lazy so I started to surf DaFont looking for a good bitmap font that I cold use for the favicon and found that font by chance. Lucky~☆ (^_^)V

300,000 Visits

Sorry for posting twice within the day. It's an emergency.

A gift for everyone~ Click and take.

300,000 Visits

I just noticed the count when it reached 300,002, just a while ago, while I was updating Lunatic Symphony.

Either way, everyone, thank you so much! I'm really happy that even if you guys don't say anything and just surf around but you sticked through me until this point. Thank you, thank you! *hugs and kisses for everyone*

Q: Where did your comments, links, etc. stuffs go?
A: I don't know!

However, if you comment, I still get it though. You just don't see it. If you know why, how about being nice and help me with it?

Fixed~ <33

Lunatic Symphony: A GPKISM Fanlisting

I have made a fanlisting for GPKISM! And I named it Lunatic Symphony! If you're a fan of GPKISM, please consider joining! (^_^)/

I wanted this to become the official fanlisting at some point, but of course, I'll have to ask GPK for permission.
(Edit: It's been approved to be an Official Fanlisting and by GPK, himself too!)

Well, anyway, here's the site's layout:

Yes, yes, it has this Gothic elegance aura, doesn't it? I am very happy with how it turned out, honestly. I'm so happy with it that it makes me want to cry in self amazement. When I got this done, I actually told myself vainly, "Damn, sometimes, I amaze myself." *lol*

It took me a few minutes to crop out each and every image and about 2 hours rearranging the beads here and there to arrive at the point where I could be satisfied with how it looks. And the rest of the day, as well as the rest of another half day, was spent thinking of a name that would fit GPKISM at some point.

When I was making this, I have this desire of wanting it to look something dark and elegant at the same time, simple and clean looking. I spent a few hours cracking my mind on what to do, but then, I couldn't think of a way to show it. I came to a point where I wanted to just draw GPK to let off my frustration, but I was so damn frustrated that I couldn't even draw him properly anymore. I was constantly bugging Jeoffrey that I couldn't draw GPK and ended up working because I couldn't do anything, anyway. Then by around late afternoon that day, the idea of "what about GPKISM as a point of view of a fan?" suddenly hit me. Since I am a fan, it'll be quite easy to make. And then, I made it like that with GPK and Kiwamu's pictures over their CD and of course, my selfish love for Venetian Masks and roses (the rose is dead because I love dead things). The rosary beads, however, was added later on to portray my devotion.

Counter and Gravatar

There had been a maintenance with my host. Some files fucked up. Don't ask me the details. It'll just get me bursting up with anger again. Either way, the counter is back up. The number is not as accurate as the last count it's supposed to be since I just restored it from the last backup I had of this site which was last April Fools.

Also, I've recoded the Gravatar thing in the comments and It doesn't use a Gravatar plugin now. There's something up with the Gravatar cron thing on my blog and it doesn't work out like I wanted it to be so I coded it like the old school Gravatar coding.

That's it. I'm going home!

PS: Special plug to Dan Hellbound for using him as a test dummy of the freshly coded counter.
