RIP IE6

Internet Explorer 6
August 27, 2001 − March 01, 2010

There will be an IE6 Funeral to be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010, 7:00 pm at Forest Room 5, 2532 15th Street, Denver, CO 80211-3902 (click here for directions). Funeral attire is encouraged.

Internet Explorer Six, resident of the interwebs for over 8 years, died the morning of March 1, 2010 in Mountain View, California, as a result of a workplace injury sustained at the headquarters of Google, Inc. Internet Explorer Six, known to friends and family as "IE6," is survived by son Internet Explorer Seven, and grand-daughter Internet Explorer Eight.

Goodbye IE6. I first learned HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP using you when I was young and bored with life. I love you, yet at the same time, I also hate you.

Working with IE6 probably shortened my life by a few years, so I'm glad that it's finally dying. I shall dance at its funeral.
