2000 Bloggers

You know 2000 Bloggers right? The one that Tino Buntic started and had some issue with Technorati regarding rankings. Well, I’m about to say that I’m a part of it. Here’s the proof and just look for my face in that long list of 2000.

2000 Bloggers

I would provide a separate page for my own photo montage soon enough but since the list is too long for a post, as for the moment, you may see the entire 2000 bloggers in the photo montage at the 2000 Blogger site. Also, credits to Ade for the information on this. If you are interested as well, then join in.

And my say with regards to the issue of Technorati removing all the 2000 Bloggers from rankings, if they intend to delete me, please, be my guest. I started blogging for the ancient times where Technorati didn’t even exist. And this is all because I wanted to blog and I enjoyed blogging. I care less of the sites that links to me nor my page rank. Blogging, in my opinion, was never about rankings and link backs. Seriously, if I cared too much about it, then my bandwidth would always exceed and that’s another pain, if I might add and this time, it’s in the pocket.

Edit: Technorati is not deleting blogs. They will merely “ignore” ranking increase if it’s due to 2000 bloggers.

  1. I decided to remove the montage from my page after I read about the issues with Technorati. I’m still having second thoughts of putting it back coz I also read that Technorati doesn’t mind users putting the montage but they’ve made changes to their system to ignore anything about 2000 Bloggers.

Inspite of that, I’m not opting out of the 2000 Bloggers. I still wanna be a part of it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Btw, cool blog! I’m adding you to my blogroll. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. The thing is it didn’t start out as a “linkbait” project of sorts. I signed up around January 21, when there was no one republishing the codes of the collage yet. There were still about 500-600 pics posted that time. Then a week later everything went crazy and I started getting all these backlinks as people reposted the collage on their own blogs. I figured it wouldn’t really hurt, but I thought that it’d be more practical to link to the project page itself instead on all the links. I’m not exactly complaining, but it makes sense to do that instead. I joined mainly because it’s so fun seeing all those different faces/smiles/creatures in the collage.

  3. Why are they all OLD people? JK. But I didn’t know that there were that many older adults blogging in the world. I mean, I know adults open blogs for money…but just like normal blogs, I didn’t know that.

  4. Honestly, I didn’t know jack about that 2000 bloggers thingy until I’ve read about this on YOUR blog. So thanks for the info. But I probably won’t join because I don’t think it’ll help me and I don’t give a rat’s ass about blog rankings and stuff like that. So thanks, but, no thanks! Hehe.

Anyhoo, nifty photo. Sad face, yet there’s also a tinge of what seems to be erh, orgasmic joy? LOLOLOLOX!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. By the way, Technorati isn’t deleting any blogs. They just aren’t recognizing an increase in ranking if it is due to other blogger’s posting the 2000 Blogger photo montage code.
