After Eternity

You feel so alone.
As if no one was even there.
No one understands.
No one cares.

You screamed as hard as you can.
No one heard it.
You had drenched yourself with tears.
No one saw it.
You were agonizing in pain.
No one noticed it.

Then, I came.
I heard your cries.
I saw your tears.
I felt your pain.

Without a bit of hestation,
I reached for you.
With these cold hands,
I touched you.

I held your face,
I wiped those tears.
You looked up to me.
You could only stare.

You softly whispered,
"You looked at me
With an honest heart.
Tell me,
Do you feel this pain -
This cross that I bear?
It felt as though
It had been an eternity."

I did not utter a word,
I just closed my eyes.
I dare not speak.
I dare not add you more pain.

You felt my warmth.
A warmth of mercy
You craved so long to have.
A warmth of someone who cared.

You embraced me tight.
As if not wanting to let go.
As if I lifted those pain away.
As If I removed your cross.

You looked at me
And smiled softly.
A one smile marked in my memory.
The first smile after eternity.

  4. you have a way with words.

  5. "The first smile after eternity"

How could eternity have an "after"? Hehe. Enough nitpicking, I guess that's to be taken for its hyperbolic sense.

    I like this:

    "With these cold hands,
    I touched you."

    Which you contrasted with

    "You felt my warmth.
    A warmth of mercy"

Warmth coming from a cold hands. Poetically paradoxical. Or is it paradoxically poetic? Either case, good poetry.

  6. *lmao*

    The first smile after eternity

The first smile after crying for so long,
    Feeling pain for so long.
Those days that seemed like months,
    Months that seemed years
And years that seemed like eternity.

    You felt my warmth.
    A warmth of mercy"

Even though these hands are cold
    Like that of a dead\'s,
    The love that was there
And that fact that I care
    Would be enough warmth
    For someone
Left out cold in the dark.

I was suppose to name this one \"Darkness.\" Because he is my only warmth. He\\\'s the only one who see my tears, who could hear me cry, who could feel my pain. :)
